I launched my Indiegogo Campaign yesterday and I'm off to a great start! It has been 24 hours and we've raised $295.00. If you'd like to find out more about my campaign please visit the site at: http://igg.me/at/naheedence/x/561927
Every contribution gets a different bonus or "perk" as Indiegogo calls it. I'm offering beautiful postcards and high quality prints with unique artwork photographed by yours truly. I am also offering professional portrait sessions. This photograph of a crashing wave is included in the offerings! Please check back often and consider contributing today. You will be helping my business stay current and keep thriving!
In about a week I will be launching my Indiegogo Campaign to upgrade my camera equipment. As a small business owner there are so many costs associated with running a business. Couple that with the fact that camera equipment changes like smartphones these days and it doesn't allow for many photographers to upgrade often. I am really in need of an upgrade to a camera that offers both photography and video. I am asked all the time if I can offer both photography and video from my clients and it is time that I deliver! Be on the lookout for my launch, you will be able to contribute for 60 days. Every contribution counts and I am hoping to raise more than $5,000 to cover the costs of my upgrade. I am offering several "perks" including: A set of four postcards with breathtaking landscape photography from your truly, large 10x15 high quality prints and even portrait sessions for those in Los Angeles. Consider supporting a small business and independent artist and contribute to my Indiegogo campaign!

I shot a series of photos for Hupie sauce creator Barbara Kitz last week. They are going to use them for their ad campaign and promo materials. This sauce is so delicious, it has just the right amount of tang and sweet. I love the way the tomatoes look in this shot. Softboxes do such beautiful things to round opaque surfaces! This Vienna bread looks so delicious too, thanks to great lights and the right photographer to capture each element!

There is something so sensual and lovely about honey. I love to watch the smooth lines it makes as it flows down this leaf. Yet another one of nature's great bounties. I hope we can save the bees and keep this priceless blessing in our food supply.
Check out my latest wedding photography slideshow! It includes some classics and more recent photos edited to Nick Drake's Northern Sky. It is bound to make even the most cynical enjoy some wedding photojournalism. If you are interested in booking me for your 2013 wedding please ask about the new year special going through March 2013. Bookings are going fast so be sure to secure your date today!

I shot this photo for a client I have that does "sugaring". She waxes hair off of your body using sugar. She keeps it "au naturale" and does a great job both creating a more beautiful you and making you feel relaxed during your visit. I don't know about you but this photo makes me feel very relaxed!
2013 is here, Happy New Year! I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding, or Nikah ceremony, of Erika and Nadir in Santa Monica at his parents home. In this photo their baby girl welcomes them to the Newlywed life while her grandmother holds her and the grandfather gazes at his grandchild.
A Nikah in Islam is a marriage contract and agreement and is accompanied by a ceremony with witnesses. After the Nikah the couple is legally married.
I love ringing in the new year with a modern family photo. Being in a bicultural marriage myself I always love photographing the merging of two cultures at a wedding. It is always especially endearing to me when people can move beyond cultural differences and find love. Love Conquers All!

I went on a baking frenzy for end of the year festivities and gifting and had to shoot a photo of these beautiful cookies. Baking was an all day affair and was nice and meditative with no blunders so I am happy about that. I took out the plexi glass for this shot to get a beautiful reflection. I love the shapes, colors and textures, and of course the light. My trusty Alien Bee 800s always do the trick, especially with food :)
I shot this photo right before having a Pakistani themed dinner party. I love cooking cholay (garbanzo beans) and this version has red onions and tomatoes in a tamarind sauce. I love the way the colors play together and I even used a pillow cover to photograph on top of because I thought the fabric complimented so well with the green bowl and the rest of the dish. The bowl is an original Alyssa Ettinger.
